IPL matches telecast should be banned by PEMRA in Pakistan

This is unfortunately true that Pakistan was framed in so called terrorist drama in India. In result India moved fast to cut off all links with Pakistan. Pakistan on the other hand tried a lot to calm down the situation but India was not ready to melt the ice.

The greatest move was elimination of Pakistani players from IPL although they were in contract with them. On the other hand our media shamefully broadcasting the event and publicizing in big way to attract viewers.

I dont know where we stand as a nation. With so many bad moves from across the border, we are not even raising eye brows. The government of Pakistan should immediately ban all IPL coverage in Pakistan through PEMRA and also give special instructions to print media to boycott the event in big manner. This will be a big move to register protest against Indian actions.

  2. Ironic is that PEMRA is protecting interests of IPL in Pakistan. See this: http://www.thenews.com.pk/daily_detail.asp?id=173732

PEMRA is dead in grave when there are banned & illegal channels shown by cable operators. It includes Indian channels and other pirated channels illegally shown in Pakistan. PEMRA’s site had a list of allowed channels in Pakistan but it has intentionally removed that list. PEMRA is sleeping at these issues but when it came to interest of Indian’s IPL, PEMRA suddenly woke up.

  3. The matches were telecast because of the huge entertainment that IPL provides and because of the big cricketers involved in IPL.
